Barnabite Missionary

Dear Fr. Burdess,
It is with deep gratitude that I thank you and the parishioners at St. Joseph for the warm welcome and fraternal hospitality extended to our visiting Filipino missionary Fr. Jecker Luego.
Fr. Jecker has communicated to me his personal satisfaction with his experience both at the parish and at the rectory. He wholeheartedly thanks you for your assistance and help, for making him feel at home, and giving him an uplifting first-hand experience of parish life American style.
I assure you that the Barnabite Fathers, and especially our seminarians in the Phillipines, the primary beneficiaries of the mission appeal, will keep you, your ministry and your parishioners in their daily prayers.
Sincerely yours in our crucified and risen Lord,
Fr. Joseph M. Tabigue, CRSP
(Mission Coordinator)

Hope Carries Life Forward for Sierra Leone
The One Love Foundation (www.1lovefoundation.org) will host a screening of Pride of Lions, a documentary film that presents Sierra Leone in a new light - the story of what it means for a country and its people brutalized by an 11-year civil war to move beyond their scars. Our guest speaker will be Fr. James Sandy as he will testify to the hope and support our local communities and parishes have provided to the people he serves in his mission project in Sierra Leone. You already have made a tremendous impact with your generosity and support of St. Mary's Orphanage, the schools, parishes and community as they struggle to move forward in their recovery. To view a trailer of the film, visit www.prideoflionsfilm.com .
