Bloodmobile - St. Joseph's Parish will sponsor a Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile on Wednesday, December 17th in the Church Social hall from 2 - 7pm. We are looking for 35 donors. Please call the parish office to register.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is privileged to be the only blood supplier to our local hospitals, Blue Mountain Health System (Lehighton & Palmerton), St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network (Coaldale). No other regional blood center organization serves these hospitals.

Advent Giving Trees - Advent begins November 30th, and that also signals the beginning of our annual ADVENT GIVING TREE to benefit CareNet of Carbon County and Weatherwood Nursing Home. At the trees placed in the vestibules of the Church, please take one (or more) paper ornaments and purchase the suggested gift(s). Bring the unwrapped gift(s) to Church by December 14th, the 3rd week of Advent. Thank you for your participation in this project.

Summit Hill Food Pantry - "Do unto others as you would do unto you" - Food donations or monetary donations can be dropped off at the Parish Office. Every donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Serra Club of Carbon and Schuylkill counties will attend Mass at 6:00PM at St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church in Lansford on November 19th with a meeting following in the social hall. All are welcome to join the Serrans as they pray for vocations.

OLOAA News - OLOAA will be holding its Annual Chinese Auction, November 22nd at St. Katharine Drexel's Social Hall. Doors open at 3PM, Auction begins at 6PM. There will be many baked goods and food items to choose from. If you can't stay for the Auction "Take Outs" are available and encouraged. In addition to the many prizes available, there will be 50/50, Classroom Basket and Christmas Table Drawings. The feature items this year are a Wii Sport with Mario and Sonic Olympic Game and a Longaberger Beverage Basket w/Protector and Wrought Iron Legs. This year you need not be present to win these two items.

Advance tickets for the regular floor items are available at a discounted price. The deadline for the discount is November 18th. Please contact the school, 645-7170 to order w/payment. Main floor tickets 6@ $10.00($2.00 each at the door) and big ticket items 6 @ $15.00($3.00each at the door). Anyone that may want to sponsor a Basket/Prize/Gift Card if any amount, please contact Mary Fulton @ 645-5394 or MHF@ptd.net. Baked goods and paper products are always welcome. Thank you for your support!

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Allentown, Schuylkill/Carbon Office Emergency Food Pantry is in great need of non-perishable food items such as canned tuna, peanut butter, pasta, and canned sauce. Please contact Pam Russo, county supervisor, at 570-628-0466 regarding donations or ideas for service projects.

Coping with the Holidays Following the Loss of a Loved One is a special bereavement workshop presented by Catholic Charities-Parish Outreach Program and St. Francis Assisi Grief Ministry Program. It will be held at St Francis Parish Hall at Mill & Ratliff Streets in Nesquehoning on Wednesday, November 19th from 7:00- 8:30PM. Mr. Robert Olney will be the speaker. RSVP: 570-668-2386, by Nov. 17th.

Celebrate the Single Life in Advent is a program sponsored by the Allentown Diocese. It will be held Sunday, December 7th from 2:00-4:00PM locally at Immaculate Conception Church in Jim Thorpe. It is open to all single adults. "Come join us for some fellowship, faith sharing and refreshments." RSVP: By December 3rd to Mary Fran Hartigan at 610-289-8900 ext. 226.

Bach and Handel Chorale announces four Christmas Concerts for area audiences. Please see the flyer in the front vestibule of the Church for dates and times. All questions and reservations can be directed to the Chorale's office at 570-325-4794.

10th Annual Christkindlfest at Christ Lutheran Church, 210 W. Green Street, Hazelton will be held December 6th and 7th (Saturday and Sunday). The times will be 12:00-5:00PM each day. There will be multi-media nativity display, the Tannenbaum Tea Shop, periodic visits from Saint Nicholas, homemade candy and baked goods, live entertainment, crafts for sale and an assortment of Tricky trays. It is a wonderful way to prepare for Christmas and to do it in the company of friends. Mark your calendars!

Schuylkill Health and CHAT announce two upcoming free of charge events to improve your health:

November 19th at 6:00PM, Jennifer Krawchuk, Registered Dietician, presents "Healthy Holiday Recipes". No registration is necessary and healthy snacks will be served.

December 10th at 6:00PM, Michele D'Agostino, Yoga Teacher, presents "A Season of Relaxation". No registration is necessary and healthy snacks will be served.

Both events will be held at the Schuylkill Medical Center, 420 South Jackson Street, Pottsville in the Medical Conference Room A & B- Main Building. Please call Debbie Herb at 570-621-5047 for more information.
