New Bible Study! Mary. A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother
Have you ever wondered why Mary is so important to our faith as Catholics? We turn to her in prayer, in the Mass, in the Rosary, and in Marian devotions. We honor her with special feasts celebrating the significant events in her life. We place images of her in our churches and homes.
Join us for Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother, an extraordinary study that reveals Mary’s unique role in God’s Kingdom and in our lives. Filmed on location in the Holy Land, Mary: A Biblical Walk with the Blessed Mother will place you in the midst of the powerful drama of her earthly life, taking you through her joys and her sorrows. You will learn how she works in our lives today, drawing us ever closer to her divine Son. Mary will become a part of your daily life and help you to become more like Christ.
So how much do you really know about the meaning of the Advent Wreath? We know that it marks the four weeks of this liturgical season, and there should be three purple candles and one rose, but do we know what each one symbolizes?
Join us on Saturday, December 1, 2018, for this morning retreat with Mass, breakfast, small talks about each of the four candles and what they represent, and some gifts to start your Advent the right way.
Retreat presenters include Fr. Allen Hoffa, Deacon Joseph Cannon, Mrs. Sheree Strauss, and Mrs. Nancy Berchtold.
The cost for this retreat is $20. Limited spots available so register early! The fee includes breakfast, retreat supplies, and some gifts for the Advent Season. To register, please call 570-645-2664, ext. 1 or email Lisa at firstname.lastname@example.org. Click here for a printable flyer or visit the Facebook Event Page for more details.
